Carpe Diem #1122 Leaving all behind - Living in the present

Yesterday we were told what the Road to Santiago had to do with growth, today we are being inspired by the "thought behind that growth and how to accomplish it".

Sharing a tanka, inspired by this episode at Haiku Kai where we celebrate the beauty of Japanese poetry.

retirement time now
walked the path of work for years
be with the moment
time to return to rebirth
spiritual growth starts today

Every day is a new day, what is in the past doesn't exist anymore in the present, don't look forward ... be there right in the moment.

  1. Retirement is a type of rebirth or at least redirection. We are enjoying ours together in the Haiku Kai!

  2. Thanks Janice for commenting. Yes very true it is certainly a type of rebirth, and it's a great feeling. I find Haiku Kai very refreshing it makes me think about things in life that I have never stopped and taken a mental note of in my life so far. Enjoy!

    1. Thanks Lynn for commenting. Great you may find some spare time when you retire, never seems to be enough time even now, I properly spend too much time on my websites. Enjoy life while you can.
